On the evening of August 10, 2024, The Club Birmingham set the stage for a grand casino fundraiser hosted by Alabama Veteran and Dovetail Landing. This exquisite event brought together community members in their finest attire—tuxedos and ball gowns—to support a vital cause: aiding veterans, military members, and their families across Alabama.
Our casino setup, complete with blackjack, craps, roulette tables, and a money wheel, along with professional dealers from BAMA Casino Company, ensured an evening filled with excitement and entertainment. The atmosphere was lively, complemented by the fantastic music provided by Feel the Beat Entertainment, which kept guests dancing throughout the night. Cool Shots Photo Booth added a fun element, capturing memorable moments as guests enjoyed the festivities.
Highlighting the Purpose of the Night
The Alabama Veteran Casino Fundraiser served as one of the flagship initiatives for Alabama Veteran, designed not only to entertain but to significantly contribute to the well-being of our statesmen and women. The evening was made even more special with a poignant message from guest speaker, Combat-wounded Staff Sergeant (Ret.) Johnny "Joey" Jones, who inspired all with his dedication and stories of valor.
Guests were treated to $1000 in gameplay, a plated dinner, dessert, and a chance to participate in an auction and win raffle prizes, all generously donated by our community supporters. These contributions and the funds raised during the event are directed towards sustaining and expanding the outreach programs that have already made a substantial impact on over 19,744 veterans and their families since 2016.
